Ayala CA senior Mikaela Ramirez (right) and Oak Park CA senior Sarah Shulze finished first and third, respectively, in the girls invitational 3,200 at the Arroyo High/APU Meet of Champions Distance Classic at Azusa Pacific University. Ramirez, who also finished second (4:52.91) in the 1,600 invitational double earlier in the meet, clocked a state-leading 10:19.42, which ranks No. 2 nationally this season. Shulze, who also finished third (4:54.06) in the invitational 1,600 double, clocked 10:30.41, which ranks as the No. 3 time in the state and ninth in the country.
